Camp along the Green River just minutes from downtown Seattle. Sign on with a guided tour from the campground to enjoy the extraordinary array of Seattle sights and flavors, including Pike's Place Market, Puget Sound, the Space Needle and the Seattle Seahawks' home at Qwest Field. Wake up to specialty coffee available in the campground store, then jog or bike along KOA's paved route that connects with Seattle's trail system (public transportation nearby). Bring binoculars to bird-watch at the bird sanctuary next door. The campground offers plenty to keep you busy: a heated pool, fun-bike rentals and summer activities. Whether you want to go to Seattle, Mount Rainier or just hang out at KOA, there's something for everyone!

Area Attractions

  • Seattle Space Needle: Built for the 1962 World's Fair, this 605 ft structure is a unique and world famous symbol of Seattle. Visitors may ride a glass elevator to the observation deck and then dine in the revolving restaurant, SkyCity, 500 ft in the air.
  • Pike’s Place Market: Pike Place Market is one of the oldest markets in the U.S. There are over 200 businesses, shops, and restaurants in this popular local and tourist attraction. Fresh fruit, seafood, jewelry, art, and homemade items are just a handful of items available.
  • Boeing Museum of Flight: See 51 planes that won't lose your luggage! In the historic, "Red Barn", birthplace to the Boeing Company, relive flight's greatest trials and triumphs up to the brink of World War II. Come experience over 50 aircraft dating from the dawn of aviation to the space age. Open daily for 10:00am to 5:00pm (Thursdays until 9:00pm). Purchase discounted tickets at the KOA office!
  • Experience Music Project: EMP is a music museum combining interactive and interpretive exhibits to tell the story of the creative, innovative, and rebellious expression that defines American popular music. See exhibits from Nirvana, Janis Joplin, and Jimmie Hendrix. The museum has the state-of-the-art technology, interactive exhibits, and a dynamic ride-like attraction. Also, check out the line up of bands EMP's Sky Church.
  • The Underground Tour: Discover the original grounds of Seattle before the Great Fire of 1889. View original 1890s storefronts and become acquainted with the history of Seattle. Tours are kept small and personalized for your enjoyment. Reservations are recommended.
